Going on vacation soon?  If you are staying in the states and want to get a heads-up on what's going down, you can get a lot of information from the state department of tourism.  All have web sites and most have toll-free numbers.

A state department of tourism is charged with attracting visitors to the state and they're great at it.  Get all the information you want and more, get it sent to you quickly, and sometimes get freebies like state and regional maps.  Some have promotional materials, coupons and discount plan information, and all will take the time to find out what kinds of activities you are looking for and give you free expert advice on where to go and what to do.
