Linking Policies
Getting links from SeniorMag and our sisters sites is not done every day though we get many requests for such every day. SeniorMag reviews link requests for appropriate content for our readers, and only quality sites are selected. We never link to homegrown poorly designed websites, and rarely link to sites that are on free web servers.
All submissions are scrutinized for original and helpful content, quality site design, and that the navigation, text, and imagery are suitable for seniors.
Your site must serve our readers and do so on a national level. Our readership is national. While we do work with local and regional organizations and companies, we have other sections that are more appropriate, and local companies can isolate their advertising to their desired region.
SeniorMag also has a strict policy that we link with those that are willing to link back, and do so in an appropriate manner. A stand-alone link that doesn't give a description of SeniorMag is useless to the reader. If all you do is provide such kind of link, then you are a link farm and we don't want any part of that.
The place where you put links must also be visible from your home page and not buried. A link page that cannot be found is irrelevant to the reader and search engines cannot find it either. If you want to hide our link, please don't bother to ask.
www.SeniorMag.com has tons of traffic and our sister sites are growing quickly. We will also be launching more sister sites in the next year and if appropriate, your links will also be ported to that site. In other words, by choosing to link with www.SeniorMag.com, you are trading links with a very popular group of niche oriented sites and ones that score well within search engines. At such time that we launch new sites, your links will automatically be added there as well and you will be asked to reciprocate.
Your site must also have traffic. And yes, we will know. Your site must be seen in at least one major search engine and have at least 1000 visitors per month. Sites must also register with a home page Google PR of 4 or greater and internal pages must also show some PR. Sites that look to be scraper sites, built for AdSense sites, or built only to be sold will not qualify. Your site must show that you are in business to supply a produce, service, or information to the public.
If you believe your site meets the above criteria, please post this link information on your site and let us know that you have done so and where as part of our review of your site:
www.SeniorMag.com - Senior and caregiver resources including homecare and home healthcare providers, nutritional and aging information, and a multimedia library where you can view online videos about healthy aging, women's health, and men's health. Transcripts are also provided online and all services are free.
MealCall.org - Helping people find senior meal delivery and congregate meal locations throughout the United States. MealCall also helps to raise volunteers for local meal programs and all services are free to the user and to the local organizations that we represent.
Posting links as stipulated above is not a guarantee that we will link back to you and following the above instructions does not give you a right to a reciprocal link. We evaluate each site on those merits listed above but we may refuse to link to your site for any reason and without explanation.
