Medicaid Long-Term Care Asset Protection Planning: Preserving our clients' life savings by creating legal shelters and qualifying for Medicaid to pay for the best of long-term care. Our office provides safe and legal planning systems that allow the elderly to get the best of nursing home (or assisted living, prescription drug payments or home care) without getting wiped out financially in the process.
Special Needs Planning: Through the use of specialized trusts and other planning strategies, we help the disabled to maintain eligibility for need-based public benefits such as SSI and Medicaid while still keeping their money to get better care.
Estate Planning: We help our clients accomplish their goals of leaving a legacy, however great or small. We draft trusts and wills that are customized to meet our clients' needs.
Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation: In cooperation with leading Florida trial lawyers, we assist in the correction or prevention of nursing home abuse, other forms of elder abuse, financial exploitation and neglect (including self-neglect).
Our fee structure: We are always up-front about our fees. Our firm charges a $200 consultation fee. You have the choice of meeting directly with Scott M. Solkoff or with another attorney in the office. During the initial consultation, you will be told the total fee based on your needs and you decide whether or not to go forward. Our fees are consistent with those of other firms with our level of experience and proven history. There are attorneys who charge less and attorneys who charge more. We feel confident that our fee will pay for itself many times over and that you will be able to see that at our first meeting. We have reason to be confident in our services and we do not want a client who has any concerns over our fees or our advice. Our firm remains in demand for good reason and we hope you will give us the opportunity to help you.
